Daycare June 25th
Today we had two daycare rooms full of extreme opposites. The lounge seems to have Xanex instead of Orange Scent coming out of the air fresheners as the entire pack has been lazily wandering around merely to find a better napping spot all day.
Among these "snort"-shooers (must actually snort to sound out this description) is Maddie the princess of Pomeranians, constantly posed for the pawpawrazzi that she is convinced are watching her through the webcam at all times.
Next to her, probably the liveliest of the bunch, is Achilles (Pit mix). He spends his day draping himself in front of the daycare windows just knowing that if he stares hard enough, barks loud enough, and drools over a big enough area, the window might disappear and he will be free!
Lastly, we have Wicker Bill (JRT), the ultimate "snort"-shooer, lying in the corner and silently reciting in his head "What do you wanna do tonight Brain?" and answering "Same thing we do every night Pinky... try to sleep sitting up!" (to understand, please click HERE for a clip of Wicker's favorite TV show).
On the complete other end of the spectrum is the big dog room. We have around twenty dogs in there today over 50% of which are a year old or younger! Among these we had two Puggles (crazy rough housers), four Labs (pouncing on each other and barking at everything that moves), and two Great Danes (clumsily attempting to keep the Puggles and Labs from getting under foot). This room obviously had Speed freshening the air as every single pup (including our day dreamer Sydney) was overflowing with energy.
Filling the position as Prime Observer on this lively Wednesday is the goofy when he wants to be, pensive if he gets the notion, and hilarious whether he feels like it or not,ORSON! This dog is the greatest of the great. He has managed to be everyones best friend without them even knowing he's around. He is the master of knowing that less is more and seems to have found the meaning of life through this saying. Orson never sleeps too much, never plays to rough, never asks for attention too aggressively, and never EVER even enters the realm of nuisance. He plays with other dogs by standing erect, actively wagging his tail, and slowly closing in, exhibiting how fun he could be.. but only if the other dog wants him to be fun... otherwise he can quickly switch to mellow Orson, cheesy Orson, sleepy Orson, or way-too-busy-for-you Orson, if they would prefer. He is very accommodating :) and very easily placed on my list of Best Dogs Ever!
