Puppies :)
It's raining Puppies!!!
Please come forward and meet my four adorable new friends.
With us for ten days to be house trained and learn basic obedience is the ever delightful Bobbi. She is a 9 week old, purebred Pit Bull and, as you can see, is really really cute. Bobbi enjoys tug-of-war, fetch and chew bones. She can take charge of any situation and is crazy about other dogs. Her favorite pastimes are training (treats are the best!) and taking naps in her crate (super cozy). Meagan boasts her to be one of the easiest puppies she has ever cared for and just dies every time she cuddles up near her for a snooze. After she is trained she will be up for adoption so tell your friends! Bobbi needs a home and a loving family that will appreciate her as much as we do. If you are looking for a puppy to brighten your day and you think Bobbi is it, call us at 619-233-1364.
Next we have Lily. She has also joined us for some basic obedience. She is a 5 month old toy poodle and let me tell you, these pics definitely do no justice to her beauty. She is as precious as a teddy bear and I cant help but give her a big squeeze every time I see her. One of her many attributes is her perfect pooch style. She came into the Paw on Tuesday with her designer gear in tow. From clothes, to toys, to linens, to travel bags, she only has the best and she appreciates every individual piece. Right now she is enjoying her multi-colored sleeping flannel while playing with her green jingle ball and sporting a red polo shirt. So in style! However, although she happens to have great taste, she is also very humble and almost shy at times. Through training, she is being brought out of her shell and taught to really exude the confidence her style suggests. Such a doll!
And finally, just in from Illinois, the gorgeous Reese (below) and Opie (above). These two 10-week-old Ibizan Hounds were just rescued by trainers Meagan and Katie from euthanasia simply because they were born deaf. They are still getting used to their new homes but are quickly letting show their rambunctious personalities. They run like they are chasing a butterfly (uneven speeds, and sporadic 180 turns), are able to entertain themselves for hours with a simple Loopy toy, and eat like they've never seen food in the whole 2.5 months they've been alive. It's to be expected though, since they have a ton of growing to do. Keep an eye on these siblings through our webcams and you will see them grow from the 10 lbs they are now to the 50lbs they will be as adults. More to love, I say. After only arriving last night, the two pals have already won a spot in the hearts of the entire Paw staff. I mean, just look at those bright eyes... who could resist!?
That is all for the baby bios but let me let you in on an important lesson I've learned so far. On puppies...Yes, they will pee on their own feet, they will accidentally walk in their own poop, they will occasionally miss the toy and chomp down hard on a finger, they will cry in a pitch so high and so penetrating it will be heard for miles, and in the case of the Ibizans, they will not hear you when you ask them to stop.... BUT, they will also sleep like angels, they will love your every move and worship the plates you eat off of, they will feel bad if you feel bad and act like clowns to make you feel better ...or maybe they just act like that all the time, but you get my point. They are trouble but they are worth every second of it. They are puppies and we L-O-V-E them :)
