Max and Spunky - The Dynamic Duo

We recently welcomed two ADORABLE pit bulls into our in kennel training program. Max and Spunky came to us from the Bay Area for a bit of help. Both dogs had some minor aggression issues that their owner wanted addressed before they manifested themselves into a much bigger problem!

Upon entering the Met, these dogs stole our hearts! Spunky is an adorable red female pitty who wants nothing more in life than to cuddle up in someone's lap - actually, anyone's lap will do! Max is a shy but energetic boy who LOVES training and is VERY eager to please. Both dogs are a joy to have around.

Check out the doggies on our webcam in our anti-aggression social Thursday and Saturday afternoons and see their progress! They are both doing great! You will also see them strutting their stuff downtown - they accompany me to every dog friendly place I can think of...why just yesterday, Max joined me on a walk to Long's Drugstore where everyone lavishes him with attention and treats!

Stay tuned...pictures and video to come!

The infamous Bobbi and Some New Faces!

Whew.....the holidays are over! Time here at the Met has just flown by!

This New Year brings some very exciting news. Most of you who frequent Metropawlitan have seen Bobbi, our adorable little Pit Bull who was abandoned here by her owner. Poor Bobbi had a severe case of mange and had lost all her fur. Luckily, Canine Behavior Academy student, William Barnes and his wife Melanie were kind enough to take little Bobbi into their home to provide her with the TLC she needed while she patiently waited for her forever home. And thanks to their efforts, Bobbi spent Christmas snuggled up in her new home with new owners! You see, Melanie posted fliers around her work and found an awesome couple who finalized Bobbi's adoption just before Christmas! Bobbi will be missed her at the Met but its worth it just knowing she is in a loving home snuggled up with people who love her to death!

In addition to the Met being Bobbi-less, some other changes have been popping up. First, we'd like everyone to welcome our new manager, Kelly! Kelly was a vet assistant at Rancho San Carlos and is currently attending our Canine Behavior Academy to become a dog trainer! She is fabulous with the dogs and we are lucky to have her!

Also, keep a look out for our newest Canine Behavior Academy interns. We couldn't do what we do without the help of our awesome interns. Help us welcome Emma, Christine, William, Stacy, Karla and Zahyra to the Metropawlitan Team. As interns, these guys spend time playing with all of our canine customers while learning about dog training and behavior. We love having them around and I'm sure our pups do too!

Happy New Year to everyone! Have a great 2009!
